A few weeks ago I did an engagement shoot with Ashley & Ryan whom I met through Emily of Emily & Chris (who you'll see more of later in the year). We had a fabulous time down in Midtown and they rocked it out in places like Piedmont Park, The Varsity and the High Museum. These high school sweethearts were absolutely amazing!

One day I got an email from a past client that I did a birth announcement for and she informed me in that email that she was pregnant with baby #3 - CONGRATS to her! She had the cutest idea for a way to announce her pregnancy that involved the big brother & big sister-to-be. So together we came up with the card you see above - isn't it adorable? The trick to getting them both to look into the bassinet at the same time?... Have mom or dad throw candy into it! Works like a charm. Lol. These two are so stinkin' cute!

Southern Weddings Magazine Premier Party

If you haven't checked out Southern Weddings Magazine you have no idea what you've been missing! This gorgeous magazine launched in January and they had their Premier Party right here in Atlanta at the chic Dogwood Restaurant in Midtown dogwoodrestaurant.com. So of course I went and I had a wonderful time and met lots of amazing people from all over the South. Like photographers Scarlett Lillian scarlettlillian.net from north Florida, Ginger Dupre, gingerdupre.com from south Georgia; and wedding event planner Kristyn www.panacheconsulting.com from Knoxville, TN, two of her assistants, Emmy and Samantha, the lovely gals who put together this fabulous magazine, and many more!

All brides-to-be and basically anyone in the wedding industry should have a copy of the latest issue and they can be found at Books-a-million or you can order one from the SW Blog swsmag.net. Baby Madison

Thanksgiving weekend of 2008 I had the pleasure of doing a shoot with Kerry, Stefanie and their beautiful daughter Madison who was just 3 weeks old at the time. We did the shoot at their house which made for a relaxed, stress-free experience for mom, baby and even dad too! Lol. I was there for about 2 1/2 hours and Madison stayed awake the entire time - even after being fed! She did a fabulous job! Here are my favorites from the day.

The main reason for this shoot was to take some photos for the family Christmas card. Yes, I know, I'm a little behind on the blogging. Anyway, we spent a lovely Saturday morning walking around an old farm/nature park. The kiddos did a great job!

2008 was a fabulous year! Starting Camille Deann Photography was definitely the highlight of the year for me and I couldn't have done it without all my wonderful friends/clients! It all started last February when a friend of mine asked me to get some shots of him as a gift for his mom. The photo shoot went really well and of course I showed the photos off to everyone I knew, got amazing response and everything just took off from there. So, thanks Ezra!

I'm so behind on my blogging! The reason is I've been super busy with work, photo shoots, creating Christmas cards for clients, etc. Anyhoo, I've been dying to show off Matt & Lyndsey's photos! So, on a cold, wet afternoon in November we headed to Sims Lake Park in Suwanee along with their two dog, Sophie and Madison. Here are my favorites from the shoot.

This shoot was an absolute blast! Isn't she such a beautiful mommy-to-be? I mean seriously, I wasn't this lucky! LOL. Even Murphy the dog got some camera time - poor guy, he has no idea how much his world is about to change! Haha. I get to take photos of Madison after she arrives - can't wait!

Michelle {mommy-to-be}

Before this shoot I had never done maternity shots and Michelle was kind enough to let me practice on her. She was at the end of her pregnancy and was actually on bed rest at this point so we did the shoot in the nursery. Big brother-to-be (Travis) did a great job that day and was such a sweet boy to his mommy.

Ahhh! It's been FOREVER since I've updated!!! I feel so guilty, but needless to say life has been insanely busy these last couple of months. For those of you that don't know me as well, I work full-time as the sole graphic designer for a church in Duluth, GA. When I get home at night my son (who is 6, autistic & so incredibly sweet) is there to greet me with the biggest smile ever because he's sooooo happy Mommy's home. I love spending my evenings hanging out with him, feeding him dinner, helping him with his homework, supervising his shower, reading with him and putting him to bed (that's pretty much our nightly routine). If I'm not too worn out after all of that I stay up and try to do some photography stuff but I end up doing the majority of it on the weekends along with any photo shoots I have scheduled. By no means am I complaining. I absolutely love doing what I do. I love graphic design & photography and I am so blessed to be able to do both. It's challenging at times because there never seems to be enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do but the bottom line is I am so happy with where I'm at career-wise and looking forward to what the future holds.

This trio was so easy to photograph - and so photogenic! Even though we did the shoot on a hot and muggy morning in July they managed to look flawless the entire time while I was sweating buckets by the time we were through! Lol. I had a great time - thanks guys!

Jennifer + Josh {Engagement}

Last weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot Jennifer and Josh. They are an amazingly beautiful couple (I've got the pictures to prove it!) and not to mention lots of fun! Here are a few of my favs from the day.
